Use the breath as an anchor.


Whenever you feel that your thoughts are running away with you or that your head is in the future or the past, bring your awareness to your breath.


Notice how the breath enters the body the physical changes that it brings and the sensations that follow it and then become aware of the gentle out breath and allow all that no longer serves you to leave with it.
